Linking together Brazil's two largest cities, Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo, is the Serra da Bocaina mountain range. Over 110,000 hectares of this region is a stunning national park famous for its gloriously lush Atlantic Rainforest. This tough trekking challenge takes us into the heart of the Bocaina National Park.

Join Action Medical Research on this incredible trek to Machu Picchu taking place 100 years after the lost city was re-discovered. Peru is frequently referred to as the ‘Land of the Incas’ and has some of the most spectacular and varied scenery in South America. The Peruvian Andes are arguably the most beautiful on the continent and the mountains are home to millions of highland Indians who still speak the ancient tongue of Quechua and maintain a traditional way of life.

This challenging weekend trek to the summit of Mount Toubkal takes us from the bustling souks and exotic sights of Marrakech to the remote and arid High Atlas mountain range. Our route is on a mixture of rocky and sandy paths, passing traditional Berber villages, grassy meadows, isolated patches of snow and flowing rivers.

This 60 mile, 4 day challenge retraces the steps of the Romans where you will get to witness their great feat of engineering by trekking along the remaining sections of Hadrian’s Wall. Mount Kilimanjaro is one of Africa’s most magnificent sights, and at 5895m it is her highest peak. It's the tallest freestanding volcano in the world and Kibo, which is the central crater, rests on its two sisters Mawenzi and Shira. From cultivated farmlands on the lower levels, our route takes us through lush jungle, alpine meadow and finally across a barren lunar landscape to the summit of Kibo.

On the border between Thailand and Myanmar (Burma), this remote lush jungle area is Thailand’s highest mountain region and provides a stunning trekking challenge off the beaten track. The Old Elephant Trail, set up in 1851 was once a very busy trade route over the mountains between Mae Hong Son and Chiang Mai. The route is now little used, but what remain is many traditional Karen and Hmong Hilltribe villages, unchanged for centuries, set against this beautifully lush, mountain backdrop.

Join a small group of trekkers on our Sahara Trek in November 2012 and raise funds for your chosen charity. This stunning weekend challenge takes us to the Eastern side of Morocco near the Algerian border. Our journey begins in Ouarzazate from where we transfer south-east passing the magical Draa Valley, a long ribbon of technicoloured palmeraies (crammed with date palms, olive, almonds groves and citrus trees), Kasbahs and Berber villages.
